As the planets move through the Zodiac, they make many important changes and combinations that affect everyone on earth. This promises to be an exciting year in which the various eclipses, sign changes and aspects show a major change of sentiment and tone in politics, entertainment, and in our personal lives.
Below is our free Horoscope for 2012 with an explanation of all the major astrological events happening in 2012:
The most important astrological event of January is the retrograde cycle of Mars beginning on the 23rd. Because of this cycle, Mars will remain in Virgo for the first 6 months of the year. This is an aspect that will add passion to the love-lives of those born under Pisces, Taurus, Virgo and maybe even Scorpio.
Neptune enters Pisces for a 14 year stay. Pluto is now in early Capricorn and Uranus in early Aries; this kind of movement among the outermost planets represents broad and sweeping changes in everyone's lives. Neptune's change will be particularly important in the romantic lives of Virgo, Scorpio, and Pisces by bringing in an element of mystery and fantasy to inspire people born in these signs.
March has no major planetary changes, but it should be mentioned that Jupiter is still located in Taurus, where it is enhancing the relationship experiences of people born under Scorpio and Capricorn. Saturn spends the first nine months of the year in Libra, where it is adding stability and certainty to the Solar Charts of Aries and Gemini people, or getting rid of those who our Gemini and Libra friends have outgrown.
A Supermoon, which is a New or Full Moon that it at its closest point to earth, forms on the 6th - watch for news of extreme natural phenomena (weather, earthquakes) around that date. The main event, however, is Mars' change to direct motion on the 23rd. At this point, the aggressor in a lawsuit might get a better hearing; when it's retrograde, victory generally goes to the defender, unless extreme circumstances intervene.
Another Supermoon occurs on the 6th of May, and a Solar Eclipse follows it on the 20th. This eclipse is in the very first degree of Gemini, where it will have special meaning not only for Gemini, but for Sagittarius, for whom Gemini is the Solar house of relationships. Gemini is the house of fun and romance to Aquarius; this should be quite a convenient eclipse for people born under the water bearer as well.
The Lunar Eclipse of June 4th is also a Supermoon; it's a very powerful indicator for those born under Sagittarius and Gemini, who should avoid making relationship decisions at this time. The love-lives of Leo and Aquarius will also get some attention from this intense indicator, as revealed in their individual sections. On the 11th, Jupiter moves into Gemini for a year, which is very favorable for all signs aspecting Gemini, as well as Taurus, for whom Gemini is the Zodiacal house of money. Sagittarius and Aquarius will make the most of this transit romantically.
Mars enters Libra on the 3rd and is opposite Uranus on the 18th. The first can be quite a bit of fun for Aries and Gemini. This is especially the case if Aries is in competition with someone. This transit will also give Libra the push they sometimes need. Mars' opposition to Uranus can be a tricky aspect to handle, however, especially for those born under Taurus and Scorpio. Aquarians and Leos have to be very careful about their words around this time.
Mars and Saturn form a conjunction in the middle of the month, and this is the kind of thing where almost everyone finds it difficult to get things done that need to be done. It's almost perfect for getting involved in a major project, but people born under Libra and Capricorn may find that dealing with this aspect takes too much time from their relationships, as might people born under Gemini.
Not much is happening on an "all signs" scale regarding the major planets, but there is a "global" event; the square of Uranus and Pluto. This is a fairly rare combination that could mean the institution of new monetary policies for some governments. In the lives of those born under the four Cardinal signs, Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, it could have powerful, shocking, transformative and above all sudden effects on the love life. These effects can go either way (marriage? divorce?), but they will certainly happen quickly.
Saturn Moves into Scorpio on the 5th, and can firm up the relationships of those born under Taurus and Cancer when it does. It may also be helpful for those born under Libra, Aquarius and Aries; the latter only because it's leaving their house of relationships after 2 and 1/2 years, and Aries people aren't fond of Saturn. On the 28th Mars is opposite Jupiter, which is excellent for sporting events, but those born under Taurus and Scorpio need to watch their money and personal possessions carefully.
There are two eclipses in November, a Solar Eclipse on the 13th, and a Lunar Eclipse on the 28th. The first of these happens to be a powerful Supermoon that forms near the end of Scorpio. It can be very favorable for those born under Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius and Leo, the "Fixed" signs. As far as romance goes, Cancer will gain tremendous benefit.
The Lunar Eclipse of the 28th has an entirely different nature; not only because it forms in mutable signs, but because it's an entirely different eclipse type. Although it brings effects that increase the meanings of the different houses of your Solar Chart, it usually brings opposition to what you want to do in these matters. Because this eclipse is in Sagittarius, those born under Leo are likely to be opposed in their romantic adventures. This may also be true for Gemini.
The major astrological event of the month is the New Moon of the 13th, which is also a Supermoon. Again, whenever a Supermoon occurs, we usually hear of unusual or extreme weather phenomena or seismic activity. Those born under Gemini or Leo may not need a seismometer to feel the earth move under their feet, however, because this lunation occurs in their houses of romantic activity and partnership, respectively.
