Leo Likes and Dislikes
By Brian Palenske
What are the top Leo likes and dislikes? We have compiled a list of our top Leo likes and dislikes. Don't approach the
Lion(ess) with knowing them.
Leo is ruled by the Sun, and the Sun burns bright in the sign Leo. Because of this Leo is imbued and linked intimately to
the awesome star of the solar system. This linkage is reflected in the Leo likes and dislikes that follow.
Giving advice - Leos love giving advice to others; they are as generous with their wisdom as they are
with their money. It's a part of the inner drive to protect those who they love and those who depend on them.
Protecting their loved ones - Make no mistake, the lion will protect its pride. Even if they are
inwardly fearful, they will not let their feelings stop them from doing what needs to be done. They have so much faith in
themselves, they'll ignore the odds that may be stacked against them and push forward driven by their honest trust in
divine protection or luck, being certain that these intangible forces will come to their aid, their courage holds.
Loyalty - As an extension of their natural loyalty, they will almost never let anyone down. If a friend
is in need, they'll dig deep in their pockets to help them out, and if necessary borrow from another to take care of
the suffering friend. The risks they take may even be due to their loyalty to others; they'll face down seemingly
impossible foes in order to prove themselves.
Taking risks - Leos are known to take on dangerous work, or to gamble extravagantly. Some writers think
that Leos are born "adrenaline junkies" because of the way they take chances, but Leos rarely do things that
haven't worked for someone before. Despite this risk taking nature, you'll seldom find a Leo who is not a
financial conservative, or who makes their budget a low priority.
Flattery - The typical Leo also loves flattery and being complimented; in fact, it is their greatest
weakness. You can throw a compliment at a Leo when they are at their most dramatic and turn the roaring Lion into a
purring kitten; it's an almost certain way to push any Leo into a better mood.
Boredom - A Leo does not do well when there is nothing to do. Their vacations are usually filled with
activity; at the very least they give themselves an opportunity to do something dramatic, and then lounge around on the
beach, or pool side, or some other activity where they can be pampered and taken care of.
Doing what's not necessary - They rarely do things just to keep busy because they have an aversion
to doing things that aren't necessary. You'll seldom find a Leo wasting time in futile activities or doing things
that aren't ultimately for their benefit. Even when they do favors or act to protect others, it's usually because
they relish the idea of being appreciated or respected for what they have done.
Taking orders - Leo people also dislike taking orders; they are self-driven and self-motivated
individuals who consider being under the command of something other than their own ideals as being undignified.
Pettiness - Mean and petty actions are so far beneath their radar that they rarely think about it until
it affects them or those they love, and then the perpetrator of such acts has a raging Lion on their hands.
Being dependent on others - By the same token, the regal nature of the Lion or Lioness does not like to
ask for favors, or to be dependent on others. Even if their daring and courage get them into financial trouble, their
pride drives them to work doubly hard to make things right; they'd rather do so than to accept a loan or gift from
their friends or family.
