Pisces: February 20 - March 20
Pisces Likes and Dislikes
By Brian Palenske
Our list of top Pisces likes and dislikes. Ruled by both Neptune and Jupiter this water sign is a dramatic dreamer that can
appear to be from another world.
Thanks to the co-ruler of this sign, Neptune, it's sometimes easier for them to accept and believe in a fantastic
explanation for happenings than it is for them to accept a logical one. Here are our top Pisces likes and dislikes:
Creativity and artistry - Many Pisces are very creative, and, thanks to Venus, Pisces' exalted
planet, they seem to be talented at some form of artistry whether or not they pursue it as a profession. It's very
important for them to express themselves, and they love doing it with style. Even in their wardrobe they tend to be very
original; it's difficult for anyone born under Pisces to just be part of the crowd.
Daydreaming - The co-ruler, Neptune, gives Pisceans their wonderful imaginations; they find it easy to
spend time daydreaming or musing, and find other ways to express their inner worlds. Many of Pisces people's best
ideas come from this kind of reverie, and many others have the most fascinating stories to tell about their dreams and
their inner experiences. When their imaginations are restricted in some way, they bore easily.
Variety - While some folks need more variety in their lives, Pisceans tend to seek it out or create it
themselves. The idea of doing the same thing over and over, or doing things the same way everyone else does them is
something that baffles them; they don't seem to get how easily other people fit in.
Helping others - In that Jupiter is the traditional ruler of Pisces, they really enjoy helping others.
Almost all Pisces are good listeners, and can read more into another's words than they might have intended. Being
naturally friendly, they'll usually be a "good shoulder to cry on" more than once, but it's difficult
for them to avoid getting personally involved.
Being spontaneous - Routines rarely hold any attraction for them, they like things being sudden and
spontaneous. It's seldom that you'll find a Pisces stuck in a rut, but if you do, it's because they don't
recognize it as such.
Rules and restrictions - Probably the hardest thing in the world for a Pisces is to follow the rules.
But this is even more of a difficult thing for people born under this sign when their freedom is restricted in some way
or another. Because of the combination of Jupiter, the ruling planet of Pisces, and Venus, who is exalted there, they are
not prone to do anything that would threaten themselves or others.
Being under pressure - This vacillating dreamer also finds it difficult to work in high-pressure
environments that require intense focus and dedication for an extended period of time.
Hard work - It's even worse if the work is tedious or difficult as this goes against the nature of a
fluid water sign.
Criticism - Pisces people are also known not to take criticism well, even if it's given in a kindly
way, or if it's constructive. They can quickly turn a tricky situation around, but they are not known for admitting
Being forced to face reality - A typical Pisces has something of a magical view of the world, and does
not like it being put under scrutiny, or abandoning it for a viewpoint more in line with conventional wisdom. It's
easier for them to prove that a rigidly materialistic explanation makes no more sense than their magical one, because
they tend to put their experience first, not someone's idea of how they should view that experience.
